These terms are an agreement between you and RIQUO ("RIQUO", "we", "us") about using the RIQUO app and its services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how it's used.
The short version: use RIQUO for your own kitchen, only share photos of food you made, double-check ingredients for allergies (AI can make mistakes), and treat other cooks with respect. Your recipes and photos are yours.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RIQUO. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you need a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done with your account.
Anyone who has a pantry's invite code can join it and see and change its pantry items and shopping list. Only share your code with people you trust. Members can see each other's display name, profile photo, and a partly hidden email address. You can leave a pantry at any time.
RIQUO uses artificial intelligence to read receipts and recipe photos, transcribe your voice, and suggest and change recipes. AI can be wrong. In particular:
You own what you add to RIQUO: your pantry, notes, recipes you import or create, and photos you take. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the app for you (and, for things you choose to share, for other users as described below). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that other pantry members already share with you.
What becomes visible to others: when you tap ♥ on an AI-generated recipe, that recipe is added anonymously to Popular recipes. When you share a cook photo, it appears on that recipe in Popular after review, with your first name and last initial only if you choose. Recipes you import are always private.
You must have the right to anything you import or share. Only share photos you took yourself. Importing a recipe from a cookbook or website for your own private use is fine; please don't use RIQUO to copy or republish other people's work.
RIQUO has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. When sharing photos or using any shared feature, you agree not to post or do anything that:
Every shared photo is checked automatically and reviewed by us before anyone else sees it. You can report a recipe or photo, and hide all photos from a person, right in the app. We review reports, remove content that breaks these rules, and may block people who break them from sharing or from RIQUO entirely. Content that is reported by several people may be hidden automatically while we review it.
You agree not to:
RIQUO is built by a small, independent team. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may add, change, or remove features. If we ever shut RIQUO down, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the app when we can.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings (see the Privacy Policy for what is deleted). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections 4, 5 (for content already shared), 10, and 11 continue to apply after your account ends.
RIQUO is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the app or its AI results will be accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any illness, allergic reaction, spoiled food, or other harm from relying on the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for RIQUO Plus in the 12 months before the claim (or $10 if you paid nothing). Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally.
If you downloaded RIQUO from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms add to it. You acknowledge that these terms are between you and RIQUO, not Apple; that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; that RIQUO, not Apple, is responsible for any product claims, intellectual property claims, and warranty issues; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. If you got RIQUO from Google Play, Google Play's terms of service also apply.
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for important changes we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use RIQUO after a change means you accept the updated terms.
